Born by chance
The story of how Finca Pin Alegre came to be feels almost like a small miracle. What began as coincidence ultimately turned into a new destination.
After a trip at the end of April last year, I “accidentally” found myself in this region with Moosje. From the very first moment, I felt a sense of coming home. The landscape, the peace, the energy, everything felt right. Not long after, I made a decision: I left my home and life in the Netherlands behind, sold my house in Laren, and travelled back to Spain in July to see what was available on the market.
On the second day, it happened. I quite literally stumbled upon this beautiful finca and knew immediately: this is it. This is my place. From that moment on, everything moved quickly. On November 7th, 2025, I signed the contract for our new home: Finca Pin Alegre.
What followed unfolded almost naturally. The idea to transform the studio into a guest accommodation alongside my acupuncture practice was the first step. Together with a friend, the idea then grew to host retreats here. And as if it was meant to be, another friend suggested adding a cooking workshop as well.
And now? Now there are already two beautiful events on the calendar.
Sometimes something truly special is created simply by following a feeling.
